OPENCALL for Generative AI & Visual Culture Projects

We are looking for AI and art projects! Do you work with artificial intelligence to create visual content? Apply now!
Up to five selected projects have the opportunity to be presented by the authors* in person or via stream at the Creative Edge - Generative AI and Visual Culture conference on 22 January 2024 at CAMP (Centre for Architecture and Urban Planning) in Prague.
The works are selected by an expert jury consisting of Czech and foreign experts Luba Elliott, Daria Hvizdalova and Markéta Kinterová.
The deadline for submissions to the competition is 23:59 on 12 January 2024.
Terms and Conditions:
- CV (CV in .pdf format in English)
- Portfolio (presentation of work to date in .pdf format in English, max 10 MB)
- Project + image part (project description in maximum 1 000 characters, all in one .pdf file in English max. 10 MB)
All email attachments must be properly labeled with the author*s name and title - CV / Portfolio / Project / Name

The participation fee for one registered project is 600,- CZK / 25 Euro. In case of interest in applying for another project, it is necessary to submit another application

Winners will be announced on 19 January 2024 on the website:

Introduction of the jury:
Daria Hvížďalová - specialist in artificial intelligence, co-founder of industrial software company Mainware and ex-CEO of the innovative educational institute 42 Prague, part of the international network École 42 and under the Czech patronage of Škoda Auto focusing on programming. He is interested in the connection between education and artificial intelligence, heads the AI EduLab and teaches "Artificial Intelligence in Business Processes" at the European School of Business and Management. Forbes magazine ranked her in the 30 under 30 in 2023.
Luba Elliott - curator, producer and researcher specialising in artificial intelligence in the creative industries. Luba is known for her passion for connecting artists, technologists and curators and creating space for dialogue and collaboration. Her experience as a curator and researcher allows her to bring new perspectives to the world of AI art and explore the limits of creativity that this technology offers.
Markéta Kinterová - editor-in-chief of Fotograf magazine and artistic director of the eponymous association Fotograf Zone, which runs Fotograf Gallery and Fotograf Festival. She visits many international festivals and is a member of the European talent support platform Futures. She has had a number of solo and group exhibitions. Since 2016 she has been the head of the documentary photography studio at FAMU in Prague.
